How to express the price
The simply grammatical pattern for expressing the price in Japanese is :
XはPRICEです。
X wa PRICE desu.
X costs PRICE.
For example,
この車は1500万円です。
kono kuruma wa sen gohyaku man en desu.
This car is 15 million yen.
円 (yen) is the currency unit used in Japan.
So, you can change it with other currency unit like :
チケットは15ドルです。
chiketto wa juu go doru desu.
The ticket costs 15 dollars.

How to ask about the price
In Japanese, we can use a question word
いくら
ikura
how much
can be used to ask about the price of something.
The grammatical pattern is
Xはいくらですか。
X wa ikuar desu ka.
How much is X?
For example,
これはいくらですか。
Kore wa ikura desu ka.
How much is it?
And we can answer like this
300円です。
san byaku en desu.
It’s 300 yen.
そのチョコレートはいくらですか。
sono chokoreeto wa ikura desu ka.
How much is that chocolate?
And we can answer
1000ユーロです。
sen yuuro desu.
It’s 1000 euros.
Tips (Japanese money)
In Japan, there is only 円 (yen) as the money unit.
So, there is no such distinction like “dollars and cents”.
And the types of money are :
Coin : 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 500
Paper : 1000, 2000, 5000, 10000
In total, there are 10 types of money in Japan.
